this is a timelapse i´ve shot last night ( 03. – 04.08.2010 )

i put no artificial visual effects on this video.
at the time if the moon is rising up, the air fills with some fog. so the lens is misted in the fog. and this is why the moon has this strange looking corona. but i think it´s an realy nice effect.

every frame was shot at every 33 seconds
exposed with 30 Sec at f/3.5 and ISO 3200

this is a test to use the canon 7d as an electronic telescope to watch into space. the lens that i used in this test was the canon zoom lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III

Canon EOS 7D Telescope

i conected the camera via HDMI on my 28″ Full HD screen to preview in liveview mode.
it works realy good and you have the choice to capture what you see with the 7d – video or photo.

here is an example photo that i made this morning.

now i think about to buy an 2x teleconverter to extend the zoom on the lens.

This is the first post of my „Deep Space View“ series. It will show you some photographs taken from the nightly sky. I want to show you places “where no man has gone before”.

Anyhow.
Open your mind for the outer space ! The video show you some objects like galaxies, asteroids or space debris. You can also download the photos i´ve taken with the KODAK EasyShare Z1015 IS. If you like it – please make a comment to this post and / or share this with the other people out there. Or reply some other nice links to this kind of stuff !

Download the FullRes Photos to see more details here ! You can zoom in upto 500% to see the objects closer. In the next part i will try some other things to make some photos from space ! My english is realy not the best so i hope you understand my posts written in english.
But – Self criticism is the first step towards own improvement. –>
