hey folks,

this is only a test to try out making timelapse videos. made this with my canon eos 7d an the timer remote control TC-80N3. i´ve made one from day to night and another one from night to day. but it was very cloudy wether. working on to make better timlapse videos in future. it really makes fun to see our world in timelapse and there are so many posibilities to do these shots.

Today i have created a new Blog categorie called “Panoramas”. From time to time i will post some panoramas in this categorie to share these with you.

In this short Tutorial i will show you how to simply and fast preview your 720p 50 or 60 fps shots in slow motion from your Canon 7D or other file based cameras they capture video on this framerates without any transcoding or playback in your editing software. There is a simple method within the VLC-Player. You can download the VLC player for free from videolan.org – simply download and install the player. I think it´s one of the best player for video playback out there and it´s for FREE.

Start the VLC player and open your 720p footage clip.

Then go to playback in the top menue and click on “slower (fine)” in the dropdown menue.

You will see in the right corner of your video window the info of how times playback the video slower.

Make these steps as long to 0.50x (means half speed playback). That´s it. It´s an realy cool little feature that i use often to preview my high framerate footage in slow motion.

Mit diesem Blogbeitrag möchte ich mich bei all meinen Kunden, Partnern, Bloglesern für ein Schönes Jahr 2009 Bedanken.
Dieses Jahr 2009 wurde auch für SINUS DIGITALUS das Jahr des Web 2.0 ! Der erste Blogversuch anfangs noch mit einem Bloggerblog. Inzwischen läuft diese Website komplett mit WordPress. Ende März kam Twitter dazu und im letzten Quartal noch Facebook und ExposureRoom. Dadurch hat sich die Anzahl der Seitenbesuche stetig immer weiter erhöht und liegt jetzt bei dem 4-5 fachen der Anzahl an Besuchern wie noch am Jahresbeginn.

Ein paar Worte zum Thema Twitter:

Anfangs habe ich Twitter nur einmal testen wollen um überhaupt erst einmal eine Vorstellung zu bekommen was Twitter eigentlich ist. Ich habe Festgestellt das es unheimlich viel Spaß macht. Man lernt viele neue interessante Menschen kennen, bekommt wahnsinnig schnell neuste Informationen mit und noch viel mehr. Dann gibt es noch diese sogenannten Tweetup´s (= twitter / tweeten und meetup) oder einfach nur Twittertreffen und hier regional gesehen ganz kurz „#tudd“ (tweetup dresden). Dort Treffen sich Spontan oder geplant die Leute aus Twitter zu geselligen Runden oder diverse Unternehmungen zusammen. Beispiele was es da so gibt findet Ihr auch auf dem Twittertreffen Videoblog (@TwittVlog). Ich weis das ist alles keine genaue erklärung wieso weshalb warum Twitter. Ich habe festgestellt das man Twitter so überhaupt nicht erklären kann. Deshalb wenn mich jemand fragt was Twitter ist, da kann ich eigentlich nur eines Antworten ! - Twitter ist das was du draus machst ! -
Und ich glaube mehr muss man dazu nicht sagen. Es braucht nicht jeder und es macht auch nicht für jeden Sinn. Aber was es auf jeden Fall macht weiß ich genau. Es macht eben unheimlich viel Spaß und man kann sehr schnell sehr viele Leute damit Erreichen ! Sei es nur für ein Kurzes Status-update mit dem was man gerade tut oder zum Beispiel auf einen neuen Blogeintrag hinzuweisen oder Konversationen über einen bestimmten Themenbereich zu führen oder um mal eben schnell eine Lösung für irgendein Problem zu finden. Denn: Irgendwer weiß immer was oder kennt jemanden der es weiß. Und das oft auch sehr schnell und vor allem Kostenfrei. Denn Twitter basiert auch auf geben und nehmen ! Social Network eben !

Da ich jetzt hier auch nicht unbedingt einen Jahresabschlussbericht verfassen möchte da ja alle Aktivitäten auch auf der Seite einsehbar sind – bleibt mir nur eins zu sagen !

This is another test with my Glidecam HD-1000. But this time i used my ArmBrace for the Glidecam.

The ArmBrace works pretty good. If you use the Glidecam handheld without the ArmBrace the whole weight of your rig pressures on your wrist. It´s healthy and lighter for you and your wrist to use this ArmBrace cause it brings the most weight on your upper arm. I´ve got my ArmBrace new for cheap 52€ incl. shipping on Ebay. That´s what i can recommend you if you use an Glidecam or any other handheld stabilizer systems like flycam, steadycam or mercalli etc. !
